Beginning in 1997, I started working remotely as a Media Developer on college-level computer textbooks. I designed and created tutorials, labs, animations, and tests for multiple books. I was also a co-author on several Microsoft Office textbooks. I was involved in all stages of media development from concept to completion. Over the years, I enjoyed learning and mastering new software applications that allowed me to create engaging digital resources.

In August 2015, I graduated from Purdue University with a MSEd in Learning Design and Technology. I decided to pursue the degree in order to strengthen my development and instructional design skills. The program has allowed me to support my work with sound pedagogical theory. As one of the few people in the program with a strong technology background, I quickly became a technology troubleshooter for my cohort. Additionally, I was asked to host live sessions and recorded webinars to introduce software resources. I am comfortable as a leader and facilitator, and can move between those two roles easily to accomplish a diverse set of daily tasks.

In March 2020, I started working as an eLearning Instructional Designer at the Massachusetts Trial Court. I have been able to apply the instructional design skills and theory that I learned at Purdue on a daily basis. I enjoy the challenges that occur in this ever changing environment.
